This 5-week beginner graphic design course introduces students to the essentials of creating clear, effective, and visually engaging designs. Students will learn the foundations of design through topics like color theory, typography, contrast, textures, and backgrounds while exploring visual clarity, branding, and hierarchy. Practical lessons cover creating thumbnails, understanding dimensions, preparing graphics for print and digital platforms with proper export settings,  and more. By the end of the course, students will bring everything together to design a complete event graphic from scratch, applying professional design principles to a real-world project using Canva.
 
To be fully prepared and equipped for this class, you’ll need a Canva PRO account, a laptop or desktop, access to Zoom meetings, and most importantly, a positive attitude!
